Hospice Support

I’ve been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for about 20 years now and most of my career I have dedicated to providing Hospice Care. I enjoy being able to educate others on the services available when it comes to the helpful aspects of hospice care at home or in a facility. You’d be surprised how many people are not aware of the benefits of having Hospice Care, including the fact that it’s FREE and covered by insurance. Hospice is a type of care tailored for individuals facing terminal illness with a prognosis of six months or less. We provide patient-centered care that focuses on maintaining and improving quality of life on every level: physical, emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual. We provide each patient with routine visits from nurses, home health aides, social workers, etc. bottom line, hospice supports the patient and their loved ones. I must clarify that hospice care is tailored specifically to each individual and their specific needs. Due to the differences between cases, the level of care is managed by our in-house case management team who is constantly in contact with routine on-field staff. Our team caters to our patients at ANY time of the day, no answering service, but a live representative to assist you immediately. Something I hear often from patients and their loved ones is how reassuring it is to have someone available via phone twenty-four-seven, to provide advice or have a nurse visit to address symptoms or changes that might come up. Our bodies respond to illnesses differently yet having a team by your side that is knowledgeable and caring makes a difference. As the intake coordinator at True Care Hospice, my goal has always been to provide the best care possible and treat every patient and family as it was my own.
